Together, we CAN!

We are proud to live, work, and do business in the North Beach area. Our customers are also our friends, and we hope to give back to the community as we serve them here at Ocean Shores IGA. The “Together, we CAN” program is just such an effort. We can work with our customers to raise funds for local programs and scholarships to help our area. With “Hometown Kids” as our focus, we have chosen local charities that are specifically devoted to youth and children. Our employees support these programs, as well, by donating their time outside of the store to these groups.

See how much we've raised and whom has received it!

The Miss Grays Harbor Program offers young ladies the opportunity for personal growth, as well as scholarships to pursue a college education. Each contestant chooses a platform that she promotes and serves. Ocean Shores IGA and the “Together, we CAN” program will award this scholarship to the contestant with the platform most beneficial to children. By educating the children of the area, as well as the adults, these young women can make a significant contribution
Parents organizations have existed for years within our school systems. What is special about the Partners In Education (or PIE) group is that it is meant to encompass the entire community that surrounds an elementary school. The idea that "it takes a village" comes to mind. Children, teachers, and parents are only pieces of the pie. You don’t have to have a child or grandchild in the school system to be involved with the one we've got. The goal for this project is to help purchase much needed playground equipment for the elementary school.

The rising cost of education puts a strain on today’s families. We at Ocean Shores IGA understand these struggles, and bring every opportunity to our customers to save that valuable family income. We can also help by offering a scholarship to a graduating Senior who has actively been involved in service projects to benefit the community. We all win...the student achieves an education, the community receives service from our local students, and Ocean Shores IGA finds yet another way to be “Hometown Proud!”
The American Cancer Society hosts Cancer Walks across the country to raise money for research and care of Cancer Victims. The killer that has affected nearly every family in America, it is a cause that many can relate to. We are pleased to be starting an Ocean Shores IGA team to help eliminate Cancer by walking for a cure.

Pacific Beach Elementary has as strong and active Associated Student Body Organization that supports fund raising for needed and “wish list” items for the school. Donating their ASB fund means that the kids can participate in extra activities not funded by the District, and allows the children the opportunity to decide for themselves and their peers, and work towards a
common goal. These leadership skills will last them a lifetime!
