Angel
Tree
Ocean Shores IGA began sponsoring the Angel Tree in
November of 2000. Each year, the employees make handmade ornaments for the tree.
There is an ornament for each child in need, and customers can take the ornament,
as our gift and thank you for buying a gift for this child. Gifts are returned to
Ocean Shores IGA for distribution by the Ocean Shores Food Bank.
In 2004, we also instituted "Angel Kisses", where customers can donate a single
dollar towards a fund that purchases any gifts not provided by an individual. We
have been very successful with this project, and have been able to provide gifts for
up to 125 children per year!
Just one more way that Ocean Shores IGA seeks to make the North Beach Community a better
place for our Hometown Kids. THANK YOU to all of the customers and vendors who have
helped to make this happen!!
Angel Tree Gallery:
Due to the storm of December 2007, we were unable to host an Angel Tree. We did take
Angel Kisses, however, and raised $295!
Angel Tree will be back
in November of 2008!
